In addition to this general online privacy policy, you may receive notice of other terms that apply to particular promotions or services.
Type of information collected
When a visitor places an order with us, TrafficGauge may collect personally identifiable information, including name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and credit card information. We do not require this information to obtain access to any part of our public site, but do require it if you wish to place an order.
Our web server logs collect the domain names of visitors to our Web sites. This information is aggregated to measure number of visits, average time spent on a TrafficGauge Web site, pages viewed, etc. We use this information to measure the use of our sites and to improve the content of our sites.
Personally Identifiable Information
TrafficGauge does not share, disclose or sell any personally identifiable information (such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address) collected online on TrafficGauge sites with other companies or organizations for non-TrafficGauge purposes, unless you have actively selected the “Yes I'd like to receive information from TrafficGauge partner organizations about related new products and services” option on the website.
How We Use Information
TrafficGauge uses the personally identifiable information we collect online principally to provide you with the service you have ordered and, unless you've deselected the “Yes I'd like to receive information (only) about new TrafficGauge products and services” to let you know about other offerings that may be of interest to you. Postal and e-mail address information, for example, enables communication about services offered and ordered, as well as the proper provisioning and billing of those services.
Like many businesses today, TrafficGauge uses vendors to carry out certain functions in marketing and delivering services to you (such as new order fulfillment), and so shares online data with those vendors to the extent necessary for them to perform their work. Of course, such partners and vendors must use that personally-identifiable information only for the purpose(s) for which it was shared and protect it from any further use. TrafficGauge also shares such information with other industry and credit-related organizations to improve operations and to protect against fraud, security and credit risks.
We also provide personally-identifiable online information in response to subpoenas and other legal demands, and where we believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against individuals who may be endangering public safety or interfering with TrafficGauge property or services, or with our customers' or others' use of them.
How We Collect Information
TrafficGauge collects information online by asking you for it, for example, when you order a service, or respond to a survey, sweepstakes or other promotion. A customer's name, address (postal and e-mail) and telephone number are the most important pieces of information, but we might request other information, based on, for example, the service(s) being ordered or promoted.
TrafficGauge may also use "cookies" and similar technology to facilitate the order process for our customers purchasing products online. While cookies help us improve your experience while visiting our website, you have the option to block them through your Internet browser or other commercially available software. However, if you block “cookies” you will be unable to purchase TrafficGauge.
Security
When you place an order or provide personal information, your transactions are encrypted for security. Encryption scrambles the information in your purchase, including your credit card number, so this information can only be viewed by TrafficGauge.
TrafficGauge uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology, the highest level of security on the Internet. The SSL protocol provides server authentication, data integrity, and privacy on the Web. This security measure helps ensure that no impostors, eavesdroppers, or vandals get your personal information. SSL not only encrypts your personal and financial information transmitted, including credit card information, but also verifies the identity of the server and that the original message arrives safely at its destination.
We also use firewalls and other technology and security procedures to help protect the accuracy and security of your personal information and prevent unauthorized access or improper use.
Updating Your Information
You may update your personally identifiable information that we received from you online by sending an email to support@trafficgauge.com.
